Dr. Frixmon Michael, MBA, DBA
President
Dr. Frixmon Michael, MBA, DBA is a Fractional CFO, Leadership Coach, Strategic Tax Consultant, and serial entrepreneur with more than a decade of experience in tax advisory, financial strategy, business leadership, and entrepreneurship.
He is the President of Avant Tax, a U.S.-based micro family office firm, where he works with individuals, families, and businesses to develop strategic approaches to taxation, financial management, business growth, and long-term wealth planning.
As an Enrolled Agent authorized to practice before the U.S. Treasury, Dr. Frixmon brings extensive knowledge of U.S. tax law, tax compliance, and representation before the IRS. His expertise includes individual, business, estate, and trust taxation, as well as helping clients navigate complex financial and cross-border tax matters involving the USA, UAE, and India.
Dr. Frixmon holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from California Southern University and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Business Management (IIBM), India. His academic journey, combined with years of practical business experience, has helped shape his approach to leadership, strategic decision-making, and sustainable business growth.
Beyond tax and financial consulting, Dr. Frixmon is a serial entrepreneur with experience across diverse industries, including tax and insurance consultancy, healthcare, hospitality, and wholesale and retail grocery businesses. His hands-on experience as a business owner gives him a practical perspective that goes beyond traditional consulting.

His MBA provided the foundation for his business career and entrepreneurship. After more than seven years of dedication and perseverance, he completed his DBA at California Southern University—an achievement that represents an important milestone in both his personal and professional journey.
His doctoral journey strengthened his understanding of business strategy, leadership, diversification, and opportunity management, while complementing the practical experience he gained through building and managing businesses. These experiences have contributed to the growth of the Avant Group into a multimillion-dollar conglomerate.
Today, Dr. Frixmon brings together tax expertise, financial strategy, executive leadership, academic knowledge, and real-world entrepreneurial experience to help clients make better decisions and build stronger financial and business foundations.

Dr. Frixmon is married to Suma Frix, a registered nurse at UT Southwestern, and they are proud parents of Anjali, Ashly, and Akshay.
He credits his family, parents, and close professional relationships for playing an important role in his journey. He especially dedicates his doctoral achievement to the memory and dreams of his beloved parents and expresses deep gratitude to his wife, children, and business partner Prem Shahi, CPA, for their continued love, encouragement, and support.
